Talking about Toriyama...

Hello everyone,

I hope you started the week great, even though we ended last week with tragic news: the death of Akira Toriyama.

The truth is that for me it has been a great loss, I don't know about you, but I imagined the future of Dragonball moving forward in time. I imagined an evolution of more characters, with Dragonball Daima next fall I imagined years of Dragonball.

I don't know what will happen with the series, it may be released and Toriyama's idea will be behind this series, he have worked on its realization, but for me it is partly the end. And I am very sorry that he left us so soon.

For me he has been a reference artist, I started drawing comics inspired by Dragonball as a child and I still continue to do so as an adult. I'm in love with its characters and its entire universe. And now in part, everything is gone.

But I want to be positive and I also see that, on the other hand, Toriyama has left many seeds, I feel that many SFW or NSFW artists have had him as a reference and that they will continue to create new universes and interesting stories, like Dragonball AF, where Toyotaro.

On the other hand, these days I've seen all kinds of comments and if you don't see me very active on social media it's because I think that at the moment Dragonball lovers are somewhat sensitive to the NSFW content of the series. So I've stayed away a little bit. I will return to social networks in a few days, when I see that the atmosphere is calmer.

In my opinion I don't think my art is offensive, that's not my intention even remotely. It is a fiction with a very defined audience and starts from the admiration of those characters, what can be purer than the desire or love for a genre? Although, many people may complain about seeing their beloved characters in "inappropriate" situations. But my art or that of any other NSFW artist has the right to exist, and that the public, faced with its existence, can decide whether to see it and consume it or ignore it because they don't like it. It's that simple, although sometimes we forget.

Anyway, I don't contribute anything with this post, I just wanted to express myself and tell you how I feel and what better place than here with you who love Dragonball as much as I do.

Hablando de Toriyama...

Hola a todos,

Espero que hayáis comenzado la semana genial, a pesar de que terminamos la semana pasada con una trágica noticia: la muerte de Akira Toriyama.

La verdad es que para mi ha supuesto una gran pérdida, no sé vosotros, pero yo me imaginaba el futuro de Dragonball avanzando en el tiempo. Me imaginaba una evolución de más personajes, con Dragonball Daima el próximo otoño me imaginaba años de Dragonball. No sé qué ocurrirá con la serie, puede que esta se estrene y detrás de esta serie estará la idea de Toriyama, él habrá trabajado en su realización, pero para mi es en parte el final. Y me da mucha pena de que nos haya dejado tan pronto.

Para mi ha sido un artista de referencia, comencé dibujando cómics inspirados en Dragonball de pequeño y aún sigo haciéndolo de mayor. Estoy enamorado de sus personajes y todo su universo. Y ahora en parte, todo se va.

Pero quiero ser positivo y también veo que, por otra parte, Toriyama ha dejado muchas semillas, siento que muchos artistas SFW o NSFW lo han tenido como referencia y que seguirán creando nuevos universos e historias interesantes, como Dragonball AF, de donde se descubrió a Toyotaro. 

Por otra parte, estos días he visto todo tipo de comentarios y si no me veis muy activo en redes es porque creo que en estos momentos los amantes de Dragonball están algo sensibles con los contenidos NSFW de la serie. Así que me he mantenido un poco al margen. Volveré a las redes sociales en unos días, cuando vea que el ambiente está más calmado. 

En mi opinión no creo que mi arte sea ofensivo, no es mi intención ni remotamente. Es una ficción con un público muy definido y parte desde la admiración a esos personajes, ¿qué puede haber más puro que el deseo o amor hacia un género?. A pesar de eso muchos se pueden quejar de ver a sus amados personajes en situaciones "inapropiadas". Pero mi arte o el de cualquier otro artista NSFW, tiene el derecho a existir, y que el público ante su existencia puede decidir si verlo y consumirlo o ignorarlo porque no le gusta. Es así de sencillo, aunque a veces se nos olvida.

En fín, no aporto nada con este post, solo quería expresarme y contaros como me siento y qué mejor lugar que aquí con vosotros que amáis tanto Dragonball como yo.
