Epilogue 1.3- Gamer of the Desert

“The moon? You want to go pick a fight on the moon? What is even on the moon?” She asked instantly.

“Let me tell you a story, Temari. In the beginning of the world, there was no chakra. None at all. All this world had was a tree. A massive tree that reached up into the heavens and bore a single fruit. When the tree bloomed, a Princess from another world came here and harvested the fruit for herself. She ate the fruit, and became the first ever user of chakra. The tree that had borne the fruit transformed and became what would become known as the Ten Tails.”

“Ten Tails?”

“No interruptions, Temari” I admonished and nodded when she backed down.

“This Princess was Kaguya. She gave birth to two sons. One named Hagoromo, and the other named Hamura. Yes, that Hagoromo. Her sons would soon discover when the Princess had done and how she sacrificed humans to the tree in the hopes of creating another fruit. When they confronted her, she grew wrought at them and lashed out. Both brothers were forced to fight their mother and the Ten Tails together. In the end, they managed. Hagoromo sealed the Ten Tails within himself and he and his brother sealed their mother within the moon. Hagoromo would over time become known as the Sage of Six Paths as he spread knowledge of chakra across the world. When he died, he left his inheritance to his younger son and used his power to split the Ten Tails into Nine Tailed beasts, but Hagoromo is not the subject of this story. Hamura gave birth to what would later become known as the Hyuga clan, and left with some of his descendants to watch over his Mother’s body on the moon. That is where the moon comes in”

“And so we want to what exactly, assuming all this isn’t horseshit”

“There are Otsutuski on the moon. I want to wreck them and take their stuff”

“Why?” She asked instantly.

“Because”

Because?” She pressed

“Because. Do you have a problem with that?”

“When you’re going off picking fights we don’t need to, yes.”

“Then never worry. This is very much a fight we do need to pick. The Otsutsuki threat is far too great to ignore and those on the moon would be the foremost authority on the subject”

“The Otsutsuki threat?”

“Kaguya was not the only one of her species. The reason she sacrificed humans to the god tree in the hopes of creating another fruit was to have one of her sons take the fruit and ascend to her level of strength so they could fight against the Otsutsuki together.”

“And you think they’re coming”

“My dear Temari, I think they’re already here.”
