Chapter 7.2- High Priest

I pulled at the Sports outfit that UA had set aside. For some reason or the other, mine gelt like it was half a size too small. It fit, but it was a much tighter fit than I would have liked with my clothes. It was annoying. Especially so since I could tell that everyone else’s fit perfectly. Nezu. It could only have been him and this was precisely the kind of stunt he’d pull.

I walked out along with everyone else to find Aizawa annoyedly staring at his watch. He immediately launched into the explanation from the anime about how we’d be going through a series of tests and that he’d allow us se our quirks.

He tossed a ball at me. “You were the first position, weren’t you?”

“Yes”

I answered simply and stepped up to the pitching plate.

“Your goal is simple. Toss this as far as you can. There are only two rules. One, no matter what you can’t step off the plate, and you aren’t allowed to destroy the ball. It’s strong enough to handle most things you can throw at it so you should be fine as long as you aren’t actively trying to destroy the ball” He said.

I looked at the ball, contemplatively. There were quite a few ways to handle this, but there was one power that had been itching at me for a while. Also a power that I hadn’t gotten the chance to use in a long, long time. Superstrength. One of the earliest to come in and one that I rarely got to use these days because there were so many other tools in my arsenal and it was rare for me to get a chance were unchecked strength like the one that power gave me could be the best tool. It wasn’t the only power I’d be using though. Just one of three. A complete rotation. After Superstrength, I add Aerokinesis to the mix. And then on top of those two I added supercomputer.

Supercomputer helped me calibrate the perfect angle and positioning to use to get the most distance. It also helped in deciding the perfect pitch style. There were a million ways to toss a ball but only one would get the most out of my throw. I aligned my body in that manner. It was almost reminiscent of what a baseball pitcher from my old world would have done.

I took a deep breath in, and then as I breathed out, I wound up and made my throw. Right at the moment I let go of the ball, I sent a concentrated blast of wind right at it. At the perfect angle to carry it further along its path. I turned to Aizawa and found his hair tossed awry. Behind me, the class was in an even worse state. Some of them had actually been tossed off their feet from the shockwave. Aizawa was smiling widely. He turned the recorder to me and I smiled as well.

“4.67 km” It read. “That’s so cool” Someone made the mistake of saying.
