Chapter 10.1- One Thousand Hands
Added 2024-07-12 18:33:54 +0000 UTCEach clone died with little fanfare as izuku drew them deeper and deeper into the grove of trees. He made use of the reduced visibility in the shadow of the trees to set trap after trap to take out clone after clone. I smiled at how good of a job he was doing, but it wouldn’t matter in the end.
In the anime, Temari with her three moon fan had been able to tear down a whole forest with her wind release affinity. She was one of the most powerful wind release users of her era. I didn’t have that kind of power. Not yet, at least. And not when it came to wind release. But I did have something that was arguably even more powerful on my side.
Combination jutsu. I crossed my fingers and in a second, there was another one of me standing right by my side. We were the same person. We did not have to confer or discuss to plan things out. We began weaving seals as one, and we finished as one.
“Fire Release: Dragon Flame Bullet”
“Wind Release: Exploding Breakthrough Bullet”
The first of those jutsus had come from Uzume. The second was one of the jutsu I’d gotten from Sakumo in exchange for teaching the rasengan to the team. I could only use the first at a middling degree of competence. My fire release was easily the second weakest element I had access to. The only thing I was worse with was lightning release, but that didn’t matter when I had the strongest natural wind release affinity in all of Konoha. Both jutsu were executed at the perfect ratio to feed into each other without reducing the strength of either of them,. They flew true for a few seconds before right as they were about to impact the treeline, they merged. The wind release jutsu hit the fire release juts, and the shape release he’d weaved into the fire release fell apart but the jutsu itself swelled to a dozen times its former size.
It hit the tree line, and I was thrown off my feet.
A/N; Not completely sure if this is the angle I’ll end up taking with this fight so take all of this with a grain of salt. Not feeling at my best today, so expect more tomorrow.
