Chapter 13.1- All of Infinity (defunct)
Added 2024-01-08 19:51:21 +0000 UTCIts was child’s play in a way. It had taken a year and some change, but I ws done. Finally complete. Sure, not everything could e said to be complete. Could be said to be just how I wanted it to be, but it was more and more on its way to being just how I envisioned it .We had five planets in use now. Five planets actively producing one thing or the other necessary for the formation and existence of this civilisation I was going to be building and leading. The only problem was the population. I had only a few million people under my control. Not even enough to fill up a city on New Kylos. Vast reaches of my new empire remained empty and uninhabited. If I was being honest, then I should not have cared. I’d accomplished my goals and was well on the way to fulfilling all of my responsibilities. But still, something about the completionist in me ached to see the planet so empty.
Cresco produced more than enough food with her unique climate and round the clock efforts from both Kylosians and robots to feed a 100 times the resent population of New Kylos. Sure, all of it could be stored away with ease, and when the time came, we’d be able to ship it across the galaxy for sale, but it was still excess.
Everything in my kingdom reeked of excess, and I wanted more. More people under my command. More planets, more lives made better. I wondered where the similarities between me and the original Clark Kent would show up, but it turned out that this was to be the place where those instincts would rear their head. I looked out from my skyscraper, the only one of its kind on the planet, and gazed upon thousands of people laughing, playing=, trading, having fun. No sickness, the Kylosians were a hardy species and their doctors were more than capable of dealing with the few diseases that could even take hold among them, no crime, no poverty, no war no untimely deaths. It was heaven. I’d made heaven on this plane, and whenever I looked at it, all I thought was of the trillions of people in the galaxy that would not get this privilege. I wanted it to stretch as far as possible. To bring peace in my time. But at the end of the day, it was all a want. A desire that would bear nothing. A passing thirst, if you would.
“Kal. Several ships have entered into the system” AIKO’s voice rang out, tearing through my thoughts with all the force and suddenness of a hot knife cutting through butter.
“What? How? Can we get visual?” I asked, the questions spilling out of me in an endless tide. Fuck. Who could it be? Part off me hoped for freindlies, but a smaller more insidious part hoped they were everything but.
“No visual. Only the sensors on the new ships were able to pick out the intrusion in space that marked their arrival. They are making a quick course for New Kylos, ignoring the other planets.” AIKO said to me, getting me to almost growl.
“How many ships? Have the fog working to create some form of camera apparatus on the moon. We need a visual immediately.”
“The disturbance in space suggests at least half a dozen mid-to-large sized space vehicles” AIKO replied.
“Fuck.” I said. I couldn’t take that many. At least not without the Kylosians suffering massive casualties. Most unfortunate was the fact that there were no weapons on any of the mostly complete ships we’d managed to construct in the last month. Everything on the Dark Aster, even the other smaller ships had been eaten and turned to raw materials for the Fog to use in their construction, and that seemed to be biting me in the arse now. I could create some armament, but even designing something like that would take time. Time I didn’t have. The Fog needed specific instructions down to the smallest centimetre. Anything less would lead to unpredictable and oftentimes disastrous results.
It was an agonising half hour before a screen popped out of my desk, showing me a fleet of nine cruisers. Most of them were smaller ships, likely only containing a few hundred soldiers each. The others were the size of the Dark Aster but not the same make. Good, at least it wasn’t the Kree that came for me. If it had been, I’d have been fucked.
A/N: Slow down, Man at work.

I find it hard to believe that he didn’t build any defenses in the year he was there. I could understand if they weren’t enough for the fleet that arrived, but nothing at all? Also I agree with sonicmalibu, he could fly into space and take out those ships well before they could be a threat to the planets unless they launched an attack as soon as they came out of the jump gates. If you do want to nerf him the only thing I could think of is him not having as much time under a yellow sun since he aged himself to look like how he does. He didn’t have Superman’s 20-40 years on earth. Granted he knows that and could easily go chill by this systems sun for a few hours every week to power up.
