January Update and plans for this year
Added 2021-01-05 03:44:58 +0000 UTCSo it's 2021 now and I want to use this update to take a quick look back at last year and also tell you about the changes I'm going to do in 2021 regarding my patreon.
First I want to thank everybody who supported me over the year. It gives me so much motivation when I see people who really like my animations and even go so far and support me financially. A big thank you :)
I uploaded 13 animations 2020, some of them short, others quite long. Something I noticed during that is, that the most popular animations seem to be the ones that already looks great as pictures. When I look at animations like the Persona Elizabeth one or the Juri one from this year where I put especially a lot of work into the animation part, I see that those animations aren't that popular. On the other hand the Mai animation and my most recent Hitomi animation are quite popular even though the animation work was not that complex for those two.
So I'll try to keep the animation part rather simple and focus more on the overall scene with different camera angles for my next animations and see how that goes.
However, I also like longer projects and small backstories in my animations. If the viewer had the ability to interact with that story, it would be even better. And I think a great way to achieve this is to tell the story as some kind of visual novel instead. I had the idea to create a game with the dead or alive cast for more than a year now. And I want to hear your opinion about this. Interacting with the girls through a visual novel kind of game where you take decisions and choose the girl you want to have sex with. The scenes are mostly pictures to tell the story with animations when it comes to the sex scenes.
Since the animations are a lot of work depending on the amount of scenes, I'll work on them over the year while releasing one chapter after another of the game.
Of course if I work on this, I won't be able to release that long animations anymore. So that's the downside to it.
I'm still not sure about that step so I really need your opinion about this :)

I really love visual novels and I think it's a great idea. I always feel like these animations work a lot better when they have some surrounding story to set the mood and give a little excitement for things that may or may not happen over the course of the story. However, please don't underestimate the amount of working making a game like that is. There is VN frameworks that help out a lot, but it's still going to be a lot of time you might have to invest in order to get everything working. That said, don't get discouraged! I think you do your best work if you enjoy doing it. And if you wanna make a VN, I'm sure it'll turn out great (and if it proves too much work, you still have the pictures and animations to release anyway). But the important part is that you do something that excites you, nobody wants you to burn out on just doing animations all the time. I think you might wanna give it a try! 😇
