Behind the Scenes: Eternal Bonds M

Hello! Today I have for you a short Behind the Scenes for the Eternal Bonds Mobile video!

I'm back with the Patreon videos~

I'm sorry for the delay! I'm still not feeling 100%, but I'm getting better. You might notice that my voice isn't at its best...I hope it's not an issue.

I tried showing a little bit of every part of the video and some interesting things about each one!

If you have any questions, or if there's anything you'd like to see in more detail, let me know.

Thank you for watching and for your support!

Thank you!!! I'm happy you enjoyed it~ Having access to all of the original UI elements in FFXIV definitely helped getting there! And why even take that line away!!! So weird! Since it had been a while since I last watched that part I didn't even remember he said it until I was looking for it T_T I feel like from what I've seen with you, that the German text is very close to the original. It's really just the EN text that changes a lot of things, for some reason...and for some reason they take a lot of the little friendlier things G'raha says. Like the "Sweet Dreams" in the inn scene! I will never get over that. Ohh great idea I will try that! I do have a different material for the inside of the mouth and tongue, but not for that part of the lips!! I didn't realize it could be the roughness! This could save me some time in the next one~ thank you very much!!

Hi Liz! Thank you for the video :D Seems like this one was a lot of work. I think UI work gets overlooked often, but you really nailed it here :) Again, I am mad at the english translation, haha. German Raha gives you a proper greeting as well, he does keep the line and says "Welcome back, my friend! Are you ready?" :) For the Blender - Lips - Light problem, I usually make a copy of the skin material, remove the roughness texture map connected to it and slide the roughness all the way to 1. After that, I assign the new skin material to the entire inside of the mouth, teeth and tounge because i just dont wanna deal with it. This way it is affected by shadow, but none of the lights in the scene. Sometimes I do the same for the colored "outside" part of the lips as well, setting the slider to anything between 0.5 - 1, as in some lighting they can get a little bit to sparkely in my opinion. Works on a case by case basis, but maybe it helps :)
