WIP: Getting back on track!

 Hello! Again, happy new year! It's been a little while since a WIP post.

The last couple of weeks of December were a little more busy than I had planned, and now I'm trying to put everything back into place, and also getting a few new jobs that I have to balance with my G'raha projects. But it's going to be fine! I might struggle a little bit these first couple of weeks of January, but I think things are already falling into place as days go by.

I did have more progress with the Mahjong animation, though! I already have ~45 seconds animated, and 23 shots...which would a lot of times be a full video, but this one keeps getting longer!!! It's still taking shape as I go, but I think it's getting more and more set in stone. And I thought I'd keep it simple when I started it...

Except for the last part hightlighted in this timeline, which is still not fully planned...but it's fiiiine! It's still not nearly as complex to put together as the Eorzea Academy one.

One of my goals with the video is to highlight some of the phrases available from the Scions, so I hope it's fun for people to hear them with an animation! I can't be the one that got motivated to get into Mahjong only because my favorite character's voice is in it...right?....right?!

I mean, as I was researching for the video, I found out there's a Mahjong gacha game with beautiful characters AND a bond system that as you level up, you get more phrases during your game. That would be fun!! ....except for the gacha part.

I also keep thinking, as I animate, of how much I'd enjoy having little animations from the chosen Scion as you call your winning hand, or tiles, or anything... I'm trying to make something like that when it fits the video. I'm already trying to play Mahjong just to hear all of the phrases I can, imagine if we also had animations! I'd have to see them allll~

Anyway, my goal is to have it done by the end of the month! I think I can do it. But if it's too late at the end, then I'd miss the date for a Valentine's video...again. :x

There's also something that caught my attention that's been announced recently that I might make a video for....hmmm...

What do you all think? It could be fun having lots of people participate in a community event like this, regardless of the awards and judging part. I'm excited to see everyone's videos. Would anyone here consider participating? I'd love to see it!

While I'm working on the Mahjong one, I'm thinking of what I could send for this. Probably something very romantic, I feel like animating something romantic.

I also have a video to be released here FOR SURE THIS TIME this weekend, or at the latest, by Monday!! It's something to complement the "How to get Started" one I posted before, with tips on how to set up your first animation projects in Blender, how I organize my projects, and how to set up a reference to animate, since I talked about it in the video before. I hope it's useful!
