Intro

Hey everyone. Amidst working on this high volume of commissions, I've found a few glaring issues with the way I do things. So! Because I love you all so much, and want to do my very best to care for your needs, I'm going to try and address these problems here! Let's walk through this together, and hopefully these changes will be conducive to a more illustrious future for everyone~

Schedule

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wJNjUpxrjM5qdGmI2F6UJJrd7xyVDausrkrAqoGHHE0/edit?usp=sharing

Hello everyone~!
So, to start us off, I've gone ahead and made my schedule a lot more public~! This time I've simplified it by a lot. It's super easy -- Each name is a person that is on the list, and whenever the blue stripe goes over a name, I'm currently working on a piece that person ordered~ Of course, if you don't want to thumb through a boring old graph, I'm going to start using my Twitter account (https://twitter.com/CarnivalousWalt) to start communicating smaller status updates in regards to starting on people's art pieces. Also; I'd like to note something very important. And that something very important is exactly why I've decided to do this. Because I've had a schedule before, and it was pretty complicated to hold up, so I eventually took it down. But, then something interested started to happen.

People started to worry. And, as I started to explore more art related sites and such, I learned exactly why. There have been instances of people, artists, good artists, popular artists, who have taken massive commissions like I have before, and asked for the money up front. And, after a time, they'd disappear. Or they'd take months to get to a person, or forget about them entirely. Then, when the art was finally, finally done it would be in poor quality, or done with an awful attitude. And I can imagine that my lovely fans who obtain art from me might feel an inkling of that fear, having either being burned in the past before or watched someone get singed by something similar. But, I know that it's not at all out of impatience that questions are asked and tabs are wanting to be had. So. I want to do my best to ease that sort of fear. Which is why this, and some of the other things that I'm doing in this big update will be there to ease troubled minds and hearts.

Which brings us back to the Schedule~! Right now it /is/ revolving, but I've been leaning more and more towards the idea of actually sticking to finishing entire orders at once (smallest to largest) rather than going from person to person to person. I'll likely be doing that next month (The Month of August) to see how that works, but for now I'll refrain from making that sort of change~ Hopefully with the experience of comparing them both side-by-side I'll be able to have a better idea of how to handle very high volumes of commissions in such a way that everyone can be satisfied~

And of course, I'll be updating the lists that are being kept on DeviantArt/FurA/Tumblr to try and make sure that all those pages are sync'd up and up to date as well!

Ko-Fi

https://ko-fi.com/N4N4F7TW

So! I've established a Ko-Fi.
If you don't know, Ko-Fi is a service that allows people to donate money to other people, usually in the form of the monetary equivalent of some sort of coffee (like, 3$?). Now, I have no idea what exactly to do with this thing. I know some people use Ko-Fi as a method of paying for commissions, and if people want to do it that way that's super cool too. Some folks do donation drives, some folks give fancy sales or something when they reach certain Ko-Fi goals. I for one, have no idea what to do with this. Some folks have expressed a want to donate to me and my efforts, but feel as though Patreon is super bogus and stuff and don't really feel like it. So~! That's an option, for now! Maybe one day I'll figure out what I really want to do with it. But, until then, there it is.

Twitter

https://twitter.com/CarnivalousWalt

I did it. I resurrected it. I can't believe I brought it back to life. My Twitter stirs again. Existing since about 2015, I let it go to waste ages ago just because I didn't think I'd ever be popular enough for it to be really of much use. Guess I was wrong~! So yeah, this is mostly going to be used as another outlet for status updates. Take it! Enjoy it~

Weekly Streams

Okay guys! I'm going to try this. Part ensuring people that I'm working on their stuff, part bonding experience, I want to be able to do a stream like, once a day for a few hours to just kind of relax and to chat with everyone while working on art and junk. Chances are it'll be done in Picarto and yes, it'll be included on my little status updates on Twitter, as well as here (probably)~ I'm not planning on doing anything expansive with this stuff yet (give aways, money obtaining actions, etc), so just feel free to swing by no strings attached and enjoy hearing my (your descriptor here) voice on my not-top-quality microphone.

Thus far I'm planning on holding these every Sunday, with the first one being on the 22nd at 10pm EST.
