Nuki News #98 - Sumo SketchBook!

Before I make the big changes to my patreon page, as detailed in Nuki News #96, which you can read here if ya haven't:

https://www.patreon.com/posts/67501940

I wanted to show what things will pretty much look like going forward, with my weekly posts and monthly rewards. :)

That way you'll know more if this sounds cool to you and you wanna be part of it, or bow out if it's not part of your interest. if you'd still like to send monthly money-support my way though, I won't stop you! (though do not choose the sketchbook tiers, so those who do wanna be part of the sketchbook can do so!)

Essentially, $3 patrons and above will get access to weekly page posts! At least one post a month will feature Monty doing Sumo stuff- poses, wrestling, stretching, interactions, that kinda stuff! Elsewise, your own characters will have their own sketchpages, based on the tier you pledge to.

It's likely I'll keep the poses separate when I make these posts, as only 1 of my sketchpage tiers will get you 4 drawings(aka a full page) per month, and I am certain over time I'll find a style or way the pages will look that is more thematic or appealing. Here's a sorta prototype page:

I'll have two other sketchbook tiers that are a half-page(two poses) and a quarter-page(single pose) drawings per month, so eventually the poses will be compiled into pages when you've pledged for enough months. Whenever there' a two-character sumo wrestling pose, I'll likely be throwing in Monty or Artie himself depending on weight/size; I like keeping things relatively even, but some amounts of size difference can be fun to play with. x)

It's definitely gunna be a lot of work for me- especially when I get to the end of this project and have to compile and design how pages will look, the cover, and credits pages, etc. But I do feel this sort of project is what I need, and allows me to bring more folks into the fun. :3

If you have any questions though about this let me know! Again this style may likely not be final- I'm using a different brush that looks more pen/smooth but I wouldn't consider it lineart exactly.  I do hope you like it, but I won't feel bad if this doesn't spark your interest in supporting. This won't be forever, and it's possible this project flops, who knows, but I want something longer-term to work on now that I've achieved my previous goal of doing art full time. ^^
