NOTE: Regarding iOS Patreon Changes

Hello hello,

For those that are unaware, Patreon sent out an e-mail today regarding some upcoming changes to their iOS app. Starting from November, new subscriptions done from the official Patreon iOS app will see a 30% price increase. This is seemingly due to some new bullshit Apple is pulling regarding payment methods solely on the iOS app (corporations pulling some bullshit, nothing new.......)

While this seems scary at a glance, I just want to reiterate:

This change ONLY affects NEW SUBSCRIBERS SOLELY on the OFFICIAL PATREON iOS APP.

That is to say, existing subscribers - and new subscribers from web browsers and the official Patreon Android app - are NOT affected by this change. In other words......if you're reading this post right now, you have nothing to worry about!

I just wanted to make this post because this news is going around at the moment and I think some people might get a bit perturbed by it, but rest assured that I have no intentions now or in the foreseeable future to raise my prices. This sorta bullshit really pisses me off because I KNOW how tough it can be for some folks!!!

From now on, if you create a new subscription to any Patreon (including unsubbing + resubbing later, I assume), please do it from the official Patreon website on a browser, or using the Android app!

To summarise........

• Apple (the company) pulling some shit, all new Patreon subscriptions done via the official Patreon iOS app will see a 30% price increase starting from November;

• However, this change ONLY affects NEW subscribers to Patreons specifically on the official Patreon iOS app, existing subscriptions and new subscriptions done on web browsers & the official Patreon Android app are NOT affected;

• If you subscribe to any new Patreons in the future, please try to do it from a web browser or through the official Patreon Android app;

• I am not raising my prices!!!!!
