Thoughts on D.I.E.T. 0.18.0

I really like the way you and the writers are bringing different stories. But i'd love to see more interaction when the girls are already big instead of bringing some kind of epilogue and very few images. Maybe with the alternative stories we might get more choices and some kind of "what if". I'd still wait for the things that you guys are preparing, keep it up and good luck!

Having not played any previous builds I can't have an opinion on them however this was fun however I felt most choices lacked weight no pun intended.

It's hard to judge this one accurately, as the story was fun, but there was just too little of it. It felt like there weren't many decisions that could change the storyline (like the tennis sisters), and the story itself felt short. Now, to be fair, this one also did something other chapters haven't had yet: Animation. I guess the question to ask is whether people prefer shorter but with animation, or longer without? Also, is the bar option meant for a branching chapter in a later addition? Because no matter what you pick, she says to go exercise instead lol

I love this update, it was a brillant way to merge multiple weight gain stories into one while mixing it with the FA kink thanks to Nithy feeder stories. 0.18 is certainly one of, if not, my favorite update so far, kudos to both polarisdreamer and you !

The art and new additions were great as always! The woman was a bit of a "Marie Sue" feedee. Strips for you right off the bat, adds detailed feeder stories into role play even though she's not really into it herself. Constantly meets your needs every time before her own. As such, she didn't really feel like a person this time around, just a mask for story conveyance. Still, fantastic work for a months commitment, so great thanks for your hard work!

True, but I guess it fits differently in a Dom/Sub dynamic than just a regular relationship! I definitely don't think you needed a ton more in the martial arts piece, but I think having a scene where she either gets in shape and gets her black belt or tries and fails because she is too out of shape so she gives up would have helped. I don't think it needed a ton more, it just felt like one more scene would have helped wrap up that storyline.

That's fair. I sorta mentioned this in a previous comment, but I may have restricted polarisdreamer too much with the stage word counts so he probably didn't feel like he could do more alternate mini-scenes. We can work through that for sure. However, I will disagree with you in one aspect, the girl working out definitely was working out in the grass next to the sidewalk ha. 😅

I feel like we do a lot of humiliation lol. I try not to overdo that. And the martial arts was definitely just to have some "regular" dynamic to the relationship. She's not a champion, she's just a regular girl who happens to do martial arts and has a dom/sub kink ha. Just like any other regular girl would be :) But I understand how in the story it would feel like it wasn't reviewed as thoroughly since it was never the intention to be the primary focus, just a way to ground them in reality a bit. And in retrospect I think a good compromise would have been an ending where the player helps Nithy get in better shape and earn her black belt while sabotaging Gina.

To be honest, the dom/sub was the primary focus, the martial arts was the afterthought as to how to get the players and character to meet. And that's fair, that dynamic isn't everyone's thing which is why I'm trying to be more clear before the updates as to what the content contains (there's a post both on weightgaming and deviantart that lists the story length, what non-FA things will be present in the story, etc.)

Alternative paths were discussed for the future actually :) This was presented several weeks ago as polarisdreamer was writing it as a future update. Part of the lack of agency probably comes from my restrictions on polarisdreamer as we're trying to not have 10k word stages or else it kills me. But it's something him and I can certainly discuss to where there are some additional deviation branches that have mini scenes rather than the one or two sentences before returning to the main storyline.

I agree with some of this, but one thing that confuses me is the "could be a sub or dom". I don't think I ever made that statement. I had one picture of Nithy wearing a dominatrix outfit and then I said this update contains dom/sub content (which it did). I'm sorry if you interpreted that as "I can be a sub or a dom", but I'm not sure how else I would explain the dom/sub relationship aspect of this any other way. That's how that community refers to themselves. It wasn't an attempt to deceive anyone into thinking there would be two major branches. With that said, polarisdreamer mentioned weeks ago about this being a story that is revisited but instead of pleasure on the players part is punishment (think back to when Nithy expresses that she's a dom).

I do agree with some of the points raised so I won’t repeat them since I have similar thoughts (martial arts not being prominent and dom/sub stuff not having any choice). One thing for me is that there’s literally only 1 (technically two, but alt routes, so you only see one in a play through) scene of Nithy at her biggest, which feels like a bit of a tease, at least for the sub feeder option. Things I did like however: the animations were a good touch, although the chubby woman doing exercises felt a bit weird (literally doing push-ups on the pavement) but the other animation when Nithy’s telling you about the fantasy scenarios are good. Was also a fan of the roleplay themes that showed up

I think mostly this is one of those areas where CoastalBunny committing to once monthly releases struggles at times, because this is definitely a storyline that could have used a second month of development to really expand on it. It felt like this would have been a really good story to get a similar branching path to Nicole's feeder/feedee story, but I'm guessing there just wasn't time. That's probably why some feel this was lackluster though - Nicole's story had that great branching path, while this seems like it could have had a similar dynamic it wasn't expanded upon.

The Dom/Sub element added a unique twist to this story to really make it stand out. I enjoy when other kinks are brought in to these stories, and this one felt like it struck a good balance of not being overwhelming for people who aren't totally into the Dom/Sub element while still providing some good content for those who are. I ultimately really enjoyed the Dom/Sub element. The scenes of Nithy telling stories to get the MC off were really well done, and I thought they provided some really good content and fantasizing. I would say that I agree with the other comment that the martial arts storyline felt a little lacking. It felt like we never really got a resolution to her trying for the black belt and struggling at higher weights. It would have been nice to have a little bit more of a resolution there. Finally, I would love to see a little bit more in the humiliation department with the Dom/Sub dynamic if you go there again (or just in a different story line). This one felt ripe for making Nithy do some embarrassing workouts or other pieces due to that dynamic, which I would have loved to see.

This update was lackluster the character was boring the martial arts thing was dull. The Dom/Sub plot felt like an afterthought to be fair even if the Dom/Sub story was well done I probably would still have not enjoyed it because it's not my thing.

The lack of agency I feel like can be expanded on with later updates, but I liked the basic pacing of the update, the premise, and I feel like it leaves open a LOT of opportunities for alternate paths later on...

I didn't really enjoy the lack of agency in this. For one it was hyped up that you could be a Dom or Sub, but it ended up being a linear path to being a Dom. Also I couldn't really get a good idea of what the personality of this month's girl was. And the martial arts storyline felt half-baked and ignored.
