Love the flashback to see more info on Vander and Silco's relationship with the girls' mom. Basically three best friends, Silco and Vander committed to turning the undercity into it's own nation. It adds so much context to season 1 with Silco still in pursuit of it, while Vander abandoned the cause after so much loss (their friend, Vi & Powder's mom) and instead he just wanted to keep people safe but out of war (and his betrayal in trying to drown Silco).

Just a little more context: The Black Rose is an organization and not a singular person. When the shadowed woman said sister it was more of the “we’re alike” sense rather than them actually being related.
