Issue with next series... (mostly for me)
Added 2022-02-01 03:06:33 +0000 UTCSo a while ago, I had made a post on DeviantArt about an upcoming series called "Watch Out For The Munchies" (see my DeviantArt post - https://www.deviantart.com/coastalbunny/art/Work-in-Progress-Watch-Out-for-the-Munchies-899648122).
As it turns out, TheMagmaMan has just started a series called "The Munchies Take Over".
I reached out to see if our stories were similar at all, and they are both based on the same story apparently (mine was based on a video adaptation, his was based on the original story).
Because I have already put a lot of work into this series (10 stages), and TheMagmaMan felt my style is just different enough, I will still go ahead and release the series. However, it is going to be toned down quite a bit. Rather than going through all the work of plugging in scripts into the panels and doing 3/4 panels per page, it will simply be 2-panel comic pages with the script in the description.
WITH THAT SAID - This will NOT be my main comic. Instead, it will be my Friday release pages. After The Viking World Cruise concludes in a few weeks, I will have another story take place (more to come) of my true Monday comics.
So I guess this is actually more good news for you all - as it's basically a short, toned down comic in addition to your regular comic ;)
Mostly disappointing news for me because I had already laid a bunch of the groundwork for this series and rather than diving in deep like I had intended, it will be done over the course of 10 weeks.
And if you're curious, "Watch Out For The Munchies" will begin February 11th!
