As mentioned elsewhere, this was another episode where AMC spoiled it for everyone by announcing ahead of time that this would be Michelle‘s last episode - just as they’d done with Rick. So we knew it going in. And many of us Googled the phone message to learn it said, “Rick, believe just a little bit longer.” The beginning choice with Andrea was meant to show that she made the choice and found her family, versus not helping Andrea and never having a family. It book ends with the very end scene, where she decides to help the strangers in hopes that it will lead her to her family again.

Actually, they didn’t announce Maggie was leaving before that 9.5 episode. It wasn’t revealed until the talking dead after show, and if you happen to miss that, there was no explanation in the ensuing episodes. It was actually treated like Maggie was just off with Georgie, but would be back at any point. But yes, you are correct on everything else.

I don’t get it, but I liked Michonne’s last episode on the main show. The ending was hopeful. How many hopeful last episodes do we get for characters? It’s usually death. Finish watching the main series and then start “The Ones Who Live”

This wasn't a favourite episode of mine at all lol. The entire what if sequence just felt pointless and a bit artsy fartsy. This is from the same writer who did season 7 and 8 so that's probably why the quality is.. very melodramatic lmao. Spin offs though, you should save for after this show ends. Back since Rick's last episode the show had a habit of announcing what happened before it happened lmao. We knew Rick was leaving, we knew maggie was leaving, and we knew michonne was leaving before the seasons even started lmao. It sucked back then, they spoiled everything in the marketing. They even revealed characters fate in the FINAL season before the final season even started 😭

I disagree 1000% they need to finish the main show before they start ANY of the spin offs.

I'm one of the people that argued for a long time that The Walking Dead should've been an animated show, and this is partly why. Actors are real people and real people get tired after being on a show for almost a decade. I also feel like this could've been avoided if they didn't needlessly extend the show. Season 7 and 8 couldve been one season, and honestly season 9 and 10 couldve been one season. That way the show couldve ended at 9 seasons and the actors probably wouldn't have felt the need to leave. Rick is still around to the end of the comics and because of that we missed out on some amazing stuff, particularly Rick and Negan's relationship during the Whisper War, which is one of my favorite parts of the comic. Its really a shame to see. Like others have mentioned, Rick and Michonne did get a spin off. I haven't watched it. I heard that the reason why the main show ended and they went with spinoffs was so that they could stop paying royalties to the creator of the comic series, and that felt really slimy so I skipped out on all of the spin offs. I believe the lawsuit between AMC and Robert Kirkman is still on going. I know this is kinda unrelated but as a comic artist myself the idea of having my story taken from my hands and used for profit grosses me out tremendously. But I digress. Anyway, watching this again just reminds me how stupid so much of season 10 is. Season 9 really made me love the show but season 10 really feels like its wasting the viewer's time so often. I get that COVID probably had something to do with it but still. This episode just felt like so much nothing. Even the reveal. It might've been more powerful if we as the audience didn't already know that Rick was alive.

Michael Meyer

This isn't why though because when Rick's episode aired and we found out he was gonna live, it was announced the same day that the actor was gonna play Rick again outside of the main show. Covid delayed plans, and within that timeframe Michonne left, so they adjusted it

#Richonne I made it to the end of the video! lol in the comics , Rick doesn't disappear and Carl lives to the end, so there's A LOT of changes. Rick & Carl both played big parts in the whisperer war. (Similar to Daryl/Henry's storylines, these two characters don't exist in the comics.) Nothing with Michonne here is in the comics. The writers killing Carl changed a lot because Rick left soon after and I think it's one of the biggest reasons why the actor was ready to leave. I think Rick leaving then led to Michonne being ready to go as well. We knew about Michonne's final episode far ahead of time, similar to Rick so I think it was easier to accept it, knowing it wasn't an ending and more of a beginning for her. The actress only signed on for a certain amount of episodes, which is why she wasn't around much. I think they tried to hold off her exit as long as possible.

Serenity

I really hope yall see this comment. Sorry I’m blowing the comments up but seriously. Now would be the time to start “the ones that live” because the first episode starts right here on that show

Sara Tucker

I didn’t like the fact she left the 2 kids either. I mean they don’t have their dad and now they don’t have their mom either. Honestly kinda pissed me off how they chose her exit.

Sara Tucker

Now yall gotta watch “ The ones who live”

This changes depending on some live shows and movies we react to. But in general, this is our posting schedule right now: Monday: TWD Tuesday: Always Sunny Wednesday: TWD + Community Thursday: Community Friday: TWD Saturday: Arcane + Rick and Morty Sunday: Always Sunny

Philip Manzano

I’m confused. Does anyone know their upload schedule, or is it just random? Much love❤️

This season is so long due to it being the Covid season. I wasn’t watching live at the time so someone correct me if I’m wrong. It was originally the normal 16 episodes. Episode 15 aired March of 2020, Episode 16 aired October of 2020, due to production being shut down. Season 11 production got delayed so they gave the fans 6 “bonus” episodes to tide them over, since they had to wait six months for the finale and longer than usually for season 11. Those aired march 2021. So episode 16 is the finale. But I agree it wasn’t the best send off for michonne.

Crystal

Okay, I'm glad we weren't being crazy. It just felt like.. "That's it?" when her story ended. haha

Philip Manzano

There is a spin off with rick and michonnoe that was pretty good but they only made it cause people didn't like their ending lol.

Imari

you can kinda tell the writers were not on good terms with a lot of the actors based on how they removed them from the show.
