I might start a war here but I feel like watching the Sunny and Community reactions back to back a lot made me realize that what makes most things funny is realism. Sometimes the opposite may be true but typically we laugh at things that are familiar in some way even if it's pretty zany. But Community doesn't really have that, especially when compared to Sunny. Sunny has such naturalistic acting, everyone feels real even if exaggerated, whereas with Community, the majority of acting is very zany and sometimes very flat. Not to judge people on acting but there's a big and, I feel, notable difference in acting between these two shows. And, yes, they have different styles, but watching it at the same time as Community makes me realize that I myself prefer Sunny to Community. Just an observation I've made watching these shows again with you guys. Feel free to agree or disagree. They're also similar shows following a group of people who are morally all over the place, so I feel like the comparison is fair.
