I guess for barb she used to teaching younger kids I think that's why Jacob was trying to help her cause he teaches the older kids. Since its an after school program more older kids can be apart of it and it was a way for barb to not really see it as her "old ways" but learning how to teach different age groups of children. That's not really something you see teachers really speak about that transition of what's it like to have older kids ask you more important questions instead of what the most basic thing a kid could think.
