UNCUT Reaction | *THE WALKING DEAD* | 1x3 Reaction | Tell It To The Frogs

Yess another episode! Love it. I hope you guys put on subtitles if you can or want to lol because the Southern accents do not go away and it might make it easier to understand what they say sometimes. Timeline: The episode continues on from the same day as Episode 2 (Day 60 of the apolcaypse) and goes into the next day, Day 61. Still been 2 months since Rick was shot, 1 day since he woke up and now he's been with the at the Quarry for at least a night, with his family. Rick reuniting with his family always gets me emotional. You can see how much he loves Carl and it's insanely lucky that he was able to find them so quickly. But Carl and Lori have gone 2 months thinking he was DEAD, it must be so surreal to have him back. I think the conversation between Rick and Lori in the morning was a good example of what their marriage was like pre-apocalypse and why they were having issues. Rick clearly has a bit of a savior complex, he's too much of a hero to leave Merle, those guns and the walkies behind. Even though he's reunited with his family (which is all he's wanted to do since waking up) he's quick to leave again to do what he thinks needs to be done. Lori is understandably frustrated and clearly is the type to lash out and get an attitude over these things. Hence why she "volunteered" him to go, she already knew that's what he wanted to do and it pissed her off lol I can easily see pre-apocalypse the case was probably Rick working too much and Lori feeling like he neglects his family and so they argue. I think Lori definitely has affection for Shane considering their history with him as Rick's best friend and then obviously what Shane has done for her and Carl, as well as their physical relationship. But I don't think she really had romantic feelings for him beyond him being a substitute for Rick and needing physical intimacy to cope. So her anger makes sense because to her, it feels like Shane used and manipulated her grief just so he could start sleeping with her which is very gross. Daryl is here and fun fact: most of the other characters are from the original comics, but Merle and Daryl were created for the show! Glad you like Dale, he definitely has that role of Wise Elder. He's a very rational man. Ed is a piece of shit and I'm glad Shane beat his ass lol even though he was clearly mainly taking out his frustration from Lori on him, it was very much deserved. Can't wait for episode 4!
