I watched this show during its initial run, but never got to finish it. Erika, on the other hand, has never seen an episode. So, we decided to take the plunge and start it up with all of you. We quickly realized that I didn't remember much of the show.. at all. haha -- So join us as we navigate the world of The Walking Dead, and get our zombie prep on.

2024-04-10 15:29:05 +0000 UTCA great follow up to a great premiere! And we finally get to meet Glenn! Love him and love how quickly he stepped up, he's very smart and capable. Steven Yeun is an amazing actor. Timeline: This episode all takes place in one day, day 60 of the apocalypse. It's been 2 months since Rick was shot and it's the same day he left his home and Morgan & Duane for Atlanta. I am not nearly a decent enough person to have tried to free Merle, if you're a racist asshole even in an apocalypse, you're bringing your fate upon yourself. There are too many more pressing issues at hand than how you feel about an entire race of people smh. Lori and Shane is a difficult one...on one hand I think it's very much not okay to start sleeping with your husband's best friend less than 2 months after he's "died". But on the other hand I understand how powerful grief and the choices you make to cope with it can be. So I'm not too upset with Lori, it all depends on how she handles her very much alive husband. Since Erika asked, this show did air in 2010 and I can't speak for Asian representation, but despite some complaints, the show altogether has been pretty progressive considering the years it was originally airing, the time it was set in and the demographic it appealed too. It's had very decent representation, there's some GREAT black characters in particular coming and they even have a handful of queer characters! One of the many reasons I fell in love with this show. The characters are distinct but don't all feel like caricatures or like they're just there to tick a box. Can't wait till the next episode and for you guys to watch this story unfold even more!
