Photo Study - Quick guide!
Added 2017-06-14 23:10:13 +0000 UTCThis is the typical photo study setup I use; source photo and grid/guidelines, and study canvas next to it. Painting studies (replicating the source material for practice) take a lot longer than just sketching (like here) but it's a good form of practice.
As a form of "self-checking", at the end you can overlay your study over the source and see how accurate it is, and fix it if necessary. If I plan to share the study afterwards, I will usually check it this way to see how accurate it is, but it's also good to note the inaccuracies to consider later.
