So, I notice someone asked for a breakdown of clothing in perspective last time!
Perspective is an important part of foundation that requires...well...more than anything, practice. It's not something that I can really teach, but I figured I'd offer a little insight into how I map my perspective. I used a reference for the overall pose by posing a poseable figure, but the red rectangle is a shape I usually use when drawing something top-down or down-up. It helps gauge the general form of...well, anything as it becomes foreshortened.
Furthermore, though I did not demonstrate it here, it helps to break down shapes into their more basic forms that are easier to put into perspective; so an arm, into two rectangles instead of upper arm and forearm. From there, it becomes easier to draw your body/parts within the confines of the more primitive forms. The example above is a more drastic example, given that I placed her entire form within the rectangle instead of just one piece at a time...but that's partially just because I'm lazy, haha.
