📦 The Wild Pup — A Primal Cargo Side Story

Eira often visits abandoned space stations to refuel her ship. These places are risky, but free fuel is always worth it. During one stop, she decided to explore a side corridor to pass the time. Suddenly, she heard a soft, shifting sound and found a small wild creature hiding inside a ripped, dusty box. The creature had reddish fur and very unusual eyes—one bright blue, the other faded gray.

Though hesitant to get involved, Eira offered the creature some water. He drank carefully, never taking his eyes off her. She told him to find a place to hide, but when she tried to leave, the creature followed her, sitting on her boots and refusing to move. Eira made it clear—she didn’t want a pet or any more trouble. She had important work and cargo to deliver.

But something about the creature’s lonely look felt familiar. Despite her doubts, Eira let him into her ship, warning that if he caused any damage, he'd be out. She named him Flux not long after, and he acted like he had always belonged there.

Weeks passed by, and Eira often lay awake at night watching Flux sleep among the pillows, feeling like he had always been with her. She tried to believe he was only a temporary companion, but deep down, she knew their meeting was no accident. Something—destiny, perhaps—had brought them together.

Now, drifting alone through the vast emptiness of space, Eira and Flux share their journey. She no longer wonders if she made the right choice. He’s part of her life now—and she wouldn’t have it any other way.
