Please note the others on the cross were tied to the cross, not nailed. At the end, they break their knees so they cannot hold themselves up any longer in order to breathe, thus causing their lungs to collapse and they die. Jesus was already dead. The reason the soldiers overdid the violent flogging was because the devil (no eyelashes) was mentally encouraging them. The children brutally antagonizing Judas were actually demons disguised as children. Judas does betray Jesus, but he does not know it will lead to his crucifixion. When he sees the dead donkey which Jesus had ridden into Jerusalem just days earlier, he hangs himself with the rope harness from the donkey. The type of tree Judas hangs himself on is called a "Joshua" tree. "Jesus" is not the English translation of his name... the Hebrew name "Yeshua" which his mother calls him throughout the movie... is actually "Joshua" in English. I have my own personal belief as to why that was translated that way... You said you enjoyed the story of David and Goliath. There is an excellent, recently-released series on Amazon of this biblical story called "The House of David". Jesus was of the lineage of David through his earthly father, Joseph. I am sure you will thoroughly enjoy it. On a personal note, I know that Jesus is who he said he was... but I do not consider myself a Christian... I consider myself an adopted Jew.
