You guys are hilarious. My suggestion for your next reaction is “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang”. It was made by the same guy that made “The Nice Guys”. It also stars Robert Downey Jr. This movie got him the “Iron Man” role. So, think about it. ✌️

2024-06-08 12:06:40 +0000 UTCI was visiting my grandparents the summer this came out, they took me to the theater to see for my 16th bday. I wanted to see Lethal Weapon 2 but they didn't so we watched this and I enjoyed it. My grandparents did too ha.. But it made me laugh when you say "if I saw this in theaters I'd be so distraught how could they do this with Anty".. Dude we were fine with it, we grew up watching movies like Old Yeller, Where the Red Fern Grows, Terms of Endearment, Bambi, ET, The Champ, Dumbo, The Neverending Story, The Fox & the Hound.. we were alright..:)

2024-06-08 12:04:47 +0000 UTCA little interesting bit about the making of this movie, there was originally supposed to be five kids, and in one of the earlier drafts of the script, the fifth kid was supposed to die during the sprinkler sequence.

2024-06-08 08:40:37 +0000 UTCI was really expecting a: "Antie could even lift your mom" joke. XD. I loved this movie as a kid and it still holds up. I know how much you guys enjoy trilogies lately, but I DON'T recommend the sequels. Though the second one did have a few funny jokes, overall it's not great, IMO just a retread, and the special effects are REALLY obvious and dated. But that's just my oppinion. I won't spoil anything incase you watch it, but technically no new ground is taken.

2024-06-07 22:28:56 +0000 UTCThis was definitely my childhood,my siblings and I watched it a lot. It was my introduction to Rick Moranis, hadn't seen Ghostbusters or Spaceballs yet and I thought he was great here, he was really good with the physical comedy. I thought the movie did a great job with transforming the world to a jungle, it looked like something out of Jurassic Park and making simple things look deadly like just sweeping. And for the most part the effects still hold up, yes you can tell it's a green screen but I also think that's what gives the movie its charm. I really enjoy the characters and the development more with the Thompson father even more then the kids and I liked the fact that they became friends at the end. Cork is so cute, they did a good job with training him. And yeah, I don't know how they made a ant look cute but they pulled it off and I used to cry every time when he died, it honestly made me appreciate ants, lol. This movie is just a lot of fun, I always have a blast watching it.

2024-06-07 22:10:05 +0000 UTCThis totally got me looking at Ants differently. I felt so sad at that scene. And for a while afterwards, I kept checking my Cheerios before putting the spoon in my mouth.
