The Room (悪霊の間) - Runway 2024 Gen:48 Entry - AI Video

This video was created for Runway 2024 Gen:48 submission.

Last weekend, my team and I were busy on this video. We use 48 hours created it, from script to Comfyui made each scenes, then we were making all shots in Runway.

It was a fun time, although we were burning. I drink 2 redbull to extend my energy till today. LOL.

In the depths of rural Japan, where ancient forests conceal long-forgotten secrets, a group of high school friends are about to stumble into a nightmare beyond their wildest fears. Mei, the cautious leader, Hana, the eternal optimist, and Kenji, the protective risk-taker, find themselves trapped in a terrifying ordeal that will test their bonds and their sanity.

As a violent storm rages overhead, the trio seeks refuge in an abandoned house at the edge of the woods. What seems like a simple shelter soon reveals itself as a gateway to unimaginable horrors. Within the decaying walls of this seemingly ordinary structure lies a room - a room that defies the laws of reality and time.

Separated and lost in a maze of shifting corridors and impossible architecture, they must navigate through haunted spaces, hidden passages, and nightmarish dimensions. With each door they open, they delve deeper into the heart of an ancient evil. At the center of it all is the malevolent entity known as The Whisper – a shadowy presence that feeds on fear and bends sound to its will.

Armed only with their phones' dim lights and Kenji's flickering lighter, Mei, Hana, and Kenji must uncover the dark history of the house and find a way to escape. But in this place, where the past and present collide and the boundaries between the living and the dead blur, escape may be nothing more than an illusion.

"The Room" is a pulse-pounding dive into the depths of Japanese horror, where every creaking floorboard, every shifting shadow, and every echoing whisper could herald your doom. As our young heroes fight to reunite and flee from the clutches of The Whisper, they'll discover that some rooms, once entered, may never let you leave.
