Waking Up On The Right Side Of The Bed

Just thought I'd share with you one of the things I do when I wake up to help me start my day.
I love to think that every morning is the fresh start to a mini adventure. Each day, no matter what you have planned, can be fun and exciting if you make it so. One of the ways I do this is by making sure that I am happy, excited, and grateful even before I get out of bed.
I start with some breathing, usually 10-20 big deep breaths in and out. Once I've done that then I think about the things I have planned for my day and begin to feel good about them. For example, say I have to make a drive out to pick up something I ordered. I think of the things I may see/experience along the way that will make me smile. Maybe it's a nice sky, or a butterfly, or maybe my favorite songs comes on. I begin to feel grateful for my experience. I am grateful that I have the eyes to see the sky and butterflies. I am grateful that I have the ears to listen to my favorite song. I am grateful that I have a form of transportation. I am grateful that my package made it out to me like it was suppose to. I basically become so happy and grateful thinking of all the things I will be doing that day before I even do them. The trick is to REALLY feel gratitude.
When you appreciate the things that are to come for the day before they're here you are more likely to experience them in a positive way. Take the time to do this when you wake up tomorrow morning. If you need to try getting up 15 minutes earlier to do this. You should be smiling once you are ready to start your day! 🖤
