Development Diary #13
Added 2016-11-18 18:03:50 +0000 UTCToday we have to be the bad guys. After thinking a lot about it and hearing some of our patrons, we've decided that AFTER the release of the new update, the pledge needed to receive the updates will change from 1$ to 2$.
EDIT: IT'S NOT NECESSARY TO EDIT NOW. ONCE THE UPDATE IS FINISHED IT'LL BE AVAILABLE FOR 1$ PATRONS FOR A WEEK.
Why?
-We pay some fees to Patreon, Paypal and Payoneer, as well as taxes in our country. In few words, the higher the pledge, the smaller the % of fees that they take."But that's not fair, I want to keep paying 1$ for it". Considering that updates take at more or less 2 months of development, just make the pledge when the update is ready instead of staying every month. Making it 2$ at once, we'll receive a bit more than 1$ at a time. There're patrons that are especially interested in the update and nothing else. That's not bad. It's normal. So if you can't afford 2$ per month, just wait until we announce the release for patrons :)
-The most of the other creators ask for more than 1$. Now that Space Paws is reaching a higher level of quality (thanks to the new software we purchased, spending more hours...) we think that is fair to ask for this little effort to all of you that want to support the project.
-The update is the best reward for any patron. And we're offering it with the minimum pledge. That may give the sensation that the other patrons are overpaying for it. They are supporting us, ok. But I wouldn't be happy if somebody is receiving the same as I do for a way lower price. Plus, keep in mind that 2$ patrons will receive not only the updates, but the development diaries and achievement (or celebration) pics too.
-The 1$ pledge will still be available, but only for development diaries (activity feed).
These are the main reasons. Sorry if someone feels bad with this change. We don't really think it's a big change, but a fair change. Don't hesitate to contact us if you need it.
Well, now about the update itself.
Currently this is our task list:
-Corridor rework - done
-MC room rework - done
-Cockpit rework - done
-Library rework - done
-Storage room - done
-Alison room/peeping scene- done
-Chapter 3 H-scene - done
-Nebet ending H-scene - done (but we have to change a tiny detail)
-Erin's new H-scene - done
-Nebet's ending foreplay -work in progress

As you can see, despite the foreplay "movie" is what needs more time at this moment, the update is quite advanced. We'll make another development diary when all the art stuff is finished.

The reward that 1$ patrons will get are the development diaries. Plus, patreon always gives the option to support without receiving any reward, no matter the amount of the pledge.

I think for the quality of the work you are doing, you deserve to be recognized, but maybe you should keep the $1 option. You know, for those who want to show their support but aren't necessarily looking for a reward..? Other creators have such an option. Although, your $2 option is $5 for most of the other creators, so it really is a bargain :D
