Creators' decisions (POLL)
Added 2016-11-08 21:53:51 +0000 UTCWe've been thinking a lot about it and before taking a decision, we'd like to hear your opinion. As you know, we're offering the newest update of Space Paws from the 1$ pledge. Right now we have over 1k patrons with 1$ pledges, it means the 75% approx of supporters of Space Paws. This for some reason make us feel like the 1$ pledge is a bargain. Especially once we've checked that most of the other creators offer their early acces from 2$/5$. Plus, Patreon+Paypal takes around the 10% of all our profit and then, we must pay taxes in our country. So we're receiving way less than 1$ (the smaller the pledge, the more you pay on taxes).
So, we're considering to change the early acces reward to 2$. It's not a big change, and all of you that are seeing this poll is because your pledge is over 5$, so this wouln't affect you. We thought that 5$+ patrons will be more objective than 1$ patrons (they obviously will prefer not to change this). So as we said, the final decision is ours, but we want to hear you first.
So if we finally did this, it would be AFTER the update we're currently working on. So all patrons with 1$ will receive it this time anyway.
"Taifun Riders are quite stingy" No lol, we're just considering it. If you think about it, the 2$ reward would include:
-Early acces to the game
-Acces to the newest news of the game (development diaries)
-Acces to "celebration pics"
Anyway, take a look and let us know what you think.
OPTIONS
A) 1$ is a bargain. The change to 2$ would be fine
B) 1$ is Ok. It's an alpha after all.
C) Offer the newest update (right when it's finished) from 2$. Then patrons with 1$ pledges could receive the update 1 or 2 weeks before the public release.
D) IMO, 2$ is still a bargain (Not really an option, but even we won't increase it over 2$ in any case, it'd be fine to know how many of you think this way)

2016-11-09 20:56:48 +0000 UTCC is a good balance between the options. It gives those looking to save as much $ as possible the ability to do that. However, anyone who values the releases enough that they simply cant wait have the option to pay a small amount more to get access sooner. It's a good compromise and will likely have the least amount of backlash. (Definitely the safe option for you, the dev's IMO)

Still you should consider that we are just as bias as the 1$-Pledgers since we are voluntarily "overpaying" ;)
