Pirate's Guild Hall Battle Map - Release

Greetings Adventurers!

This is the final Patron-only map release of December with the theme of Home Bases/Guild Halls! I got this idea after watching a bit of Pirates of the Caribbean the other day and thought it would be pretty cool to create a base of operations for pirates! Perhaps your party are pirates themselves or joined up with them, maybe even assaulting a pirate stronghold; this map will serve you well!

The base map releasing to the Barbarian tier is the pirate's guild hall in its raw day form. This post is located alongside a large body of water, hidden within the caverns of a mountain. The water leads crew members in by small boat alone, so the larger ships would have to drop anchor farther out into the water. The gateway to this hall is guarded by an array of cannons built to strike fear into any who may try to trespass where they don't belong. Within the halls you'll find everything from a resting place, meeting room for the pirate lords, and a gathering place to drink and share tales. Additionally, you'll see a small market area where pirates can buy/sell their plunders for coin! In the center of it all is a very mystical cherry blossom tree that helps bring balance to all the chaos surrounding it.

The Death Knight tier gets a night time variant that awakens the dead. The rune stones that stand in the northern part of the cavern glow a bright haunting green, bringing the spirits of the undead to wander within these halls. The cherry blossom tree also awakens fey spirits that help to maintain peace and balance with the undead. Although neither seems to bother the living, these two entities swirl and dance around the caverns with their respective glow, giving the entire atmosphere a real look of wonder. You can also see the green haunting glow reflecting off of the sharp cavern stalactites hanging from above.

The Necromancer and Legend tiers will be getting a very interesting crown crafted by the artist Rangoah and authored by myself. The Necromancer tier will be getting the crown artwork by itself with a transparent background while the Legend tier will be getting the "Crown of the Undead." This crown is considered a very rare wondrous item and really fits the theme of this map's night variant. Additionally, the Legend tier will be receiving this item in digital card files.

I did notice next week is an extra week to the month, so I'm debating whether I will be taking a little vacation that week, or release an extra free map. We'll see how I feel after I stuff my face with holiday food! I'm also taking suggestions for the January Map Theme in our Discord, so let your voices be heard!
