Patreon age verification methods are shady

Patreon is starting to send more and more notifications regarding age verification for +18 creators, and while I think this isn't something unreasonable, the terms and conditions for the company handling the verification and information (Jumio) is hella shady. Patreon is using this company's service to handle pictures of sensitive documents in order to verify our ages, and while Patreon agrees to not sell or share this info when you go through it's terms, Jumio discloses the opposite, asking you to agree and accept that they can and will share your info. This company is involved in multiple lawsuits due to data breaches, selling of private information and more recently, they seem to be involved in some AI scumbaggery.
I really want this to keep going, but accepting to those terms with such a company isn't giving me any good vibes. While my Patreon is currently closed, I might consider moving out to a different subscription service and maybe creating a discord server to share my NSFW content for subscribers.
Regardless, thank you so much for your support throughout this whole thing, even if my journey with Patreon comes to an end, I want you all to know that I'm super grateful for everything we had here <3
