Public use and Trainer games
Added 2024-12-11 09:06:20 +0000 UTCAlthough the main focus is still on CMW, behind the scenes we've begun planning out our next game. All we know for now is that it will be a Trainer game set in Archeleaus. And with it being a Trainer comes the next question...
"How do you feel about Public Use?"
Going back all the way to Princess Trainer (Akabur), there was quite a lot of public use in his games, same goes for Orange Trainer. And it focused on turning a very prudish character into a much more slutty one, seeing the progression and seeing the girl's reaction to it all (from reluctant to accepting, to enjoying).
However in the time since then, some people have mentioned really not wanting public use in their games. So I put the question to you. How do you feel about it?
Pros
As a positive, it allows for 'many' more scenarios, variations, art and fetishes.
Cons
It can be a bit more extreme, which can turn some people off.
Optional
So why not make it optional? I tried doing this with Paprika Trainer and found out how difficult it can be. The game and story start becoming disjointed and there's a higher risk for inconsistencies. In my experience it mostly ends with people who want a Trainer game to be disappointed and people who want a love story to be left wanting more depth.
It's a very tricky situation, so I'd love to hear your take on it. Also if you know any games that pulled it off well, then let me know! I'd love to get some first-hand experience.

Public use is personally my favorite part of trainers, it feels like only keeping the trainee to yourself is very limiting for the player.

2024-12-18 14:53:49 +0000 UTCI'm in agreement with most of these. Personally, I'm selfish. I love to train, groom, turn into a slut, etc. the subject(s) of the game, but whether I train them to be lovers or eager sluts, I tend not to share.

2024-12-12 06:34:26 +0000 UTCI'm ok with public use and kind of like it, but I also agree it should be optional, even if you turn her into a slut, some people want her to be their slut, and even if you want to share her, you might not want to share her with everybody

2024-12-11 20:30:07 +0000 UTCI kinda don't mind public use but it shouldn't be the main focus. One game was the slave lord series from pinktea where, if I recall correctly, you do have public use but you do it in front of the "trainee", they don't participate in it. I think it can be a compromise.

2024-12-11 10:38:31 +0000 UTCTo be honest, i like public use. But its not like something that NEEDS to be in the game. I would love to see scenes like this, for me its like a an additional plus to the game. But when alot of people dont want to see that type of scenes, i am totally ok with that.

2024-12-11 10:03:22 +0000 UTCI'll be honest. If it's optional could get the game done faster without the public use part first then fill in that optional part later. But that is my opinion. Most might want to force it but I go with the flow and if need be I'll just fast skip that part lol
