Paprika Trainer Confirmed!!!
Added 2018-12-25 02:16:10 +0000 UTCMerry Christmas boys! (And a small amount of girls) Look what Santa brought you on this fine Christmas morning. Another update! Some of you already guessed it, but the theme for my next parody game will be... Totally Spies!
I'm hoping to go al out on this one. With plenty of art (and possible animations), story, items and outfits and of course lots and lots of dripping, nasty, unforgivable p-.... family friendly content! So let's get some questions out of the way.
- Can you play with all three girls?
Yes, you'll play a character who interacts with the full trio, each with their own personal storyline, outfits, CGs and quests. On top of that you'll see some familiar faces from the show (and other shows) come by, so there's plenty to look forward to!
- How much are you going to make me grind?
LOTS! ... Okay well maybe not. Orange Trainer was made with the idea that you'd never have to do a lot of grinding and we all know how that turned out. So this time around, I'll be paying extra attention to make grinding more optional (but rewarding).
- Who are your artist(s)?
No solid, confirmed artists have been hired yet. Though I have started working with some very talented people. Once we're further on in development, I'll let you know more about them.
- Who did the animated banner?
Same guy who did the animations for Orange Trainer LucidLemonLove, now unfortunately he's got his hands full working with the Cloud Meadow people so he won't be returning for Paprika Trainer (or at least nothing is been planned). But he was kind enough to make this neat banner!
- Anything new?
The goal is to have more interesting gameplay in this one. Having to gather intel, going undercover, doing (optional) puzzles and a good / evil playthrough. On top of that, there will be stuff to collect, holiday events and 'maybe'.... even some voice acting!
- What will change with the Patreon?
Right! You know how Christmas is time for love and happiness, yet you still have to deal with that one bit of nasty fruitcake...? This is that fruitcake. We'll be moving from a monthly update cycle to a quarterly. This gives me plenty of time to work on the game and iron out issues. OT was a lot of bugfixes which were caused by previous updates that were rushed out. However, I do have a plan in mind to provide subscribers with monthly rewards, so keep an eye out for that!
- Are you still handsomely rugged and talented?

So that was your Christmas update! Thank you all very much for the endless support that you've given me. It really means the world to me to know that so many of you enjoy what I do. What started out as a silly project to see if I could do it, turned into this massive adventure.
To everyone who pledged, gave feedback (even the mean ones) or are just following me. Thank you. Non of this would have been possible without you and the best part is... we're only just getting started!

2018-12-25 07:38:03 +0000 UTCI'm not familiar with Totally Spies, but looks like it will be a fun game. Looking forward to it. Word of advice: If you go with a longer release cycle, expect that debugging will be more difficult. Not only will releases be bigger (and thus have more code that players will do unexpected things to, thus finding bugs) but the bugs that are found will be code that you may have written months ago, and thus cannot fix as quickly. I strongly recommend that you go ahead and plan a week or two of debugging; perhaps just assume that your the first release each quarter is an alpha that your high-tier patrons will help you debug, with time budgeted in to fix what they find.
