So again I stay with the original its also a good metaphor as the animation gets better the story is getting more in depth. Oh also the subs are easier to read on the other version,

2020-07-07 23:50:18 +0000 UTCFunny story... When I was 14 my little sister got bitten by a tick at our house. I live in NSW Australia on the coast and usually ticks are a thing but not a gigantic huge deal. Anyway my sister got bitten and then she got seriously ill. Her symptoms were almost exactly like Nami’s except she also got a rash over all her body. My mother was a nurse and over a few days we kept an eye on her but she got worse and worse so eventually we took her to hospital. My mum asked me to let her know if I felt her temp spike again and it got seriously bad so luckily I checked. At the hospital they didn’t know what to do. They couldn’t work out what was wrong and they tried a few things. My sister just kept getting these dangerous temperatures and the rash wouldn’t go away. They finally got a tick expert in and he immediately realised it was Tick Typhus. It wasn’t common in NSW at all but more common in the more tropical area of Queensland. In fact, my sister was the second ever case they ever found in NSW. She’s in a medical textbook now. So basically my sister nearly died from a tick bite in a not as tropical part of Australia. The moral of the story is never ignore symptoms and pay attention to bug bites. I’m just glad they had someone around who could work out what was going on. My sister was put on the right antibiotic combo and got out of hospital. Her immune system was messed up pretty bad but otherwise she is perfectly fine and in now in her 20’s with two kids and a husband :)

2020-07-07 23:35:07 +0000 UTCi fixed the subtitles for the next one by messing with netflix subtitle settings and giving it a little black border. its a huge improvement and something im not sure if you can do on crunchyroll. ill make sure if we stick with netflix that i will watch the breaks on my own

2020-07-07 23:18:25 +0000 UTCNot sure I'm a big fan of the Netflix version... The white subtitles on white background is a little bit hard to see, and I think they are smaller than Crunchyrolls. But that I can live with, the deal breaker for me is the lack of commercial break, because as the crew grows they receive breaks of their own and you start to enjoy their music theme. also, in later seasons the break changes, and wondering what each character break will be is part of the fun too. I say missing the commercial breaks is to miss a great part of the experience. I'm okay with it for the reactions, but please watch the break on your own AJ

2020-07-07 22:56:30 +0000 UTClol, they are called devil fruits, not gum gum fruits. luffy's specifically is called the gum gum (gamu gamu no mi in japanese) which is why it gave him rubber powers. Choppers is the human human fruit (Hito Hito no mi). all fruits follow that naming scheme roughly.

It's funny you're always confused when something strange happens and yet it's always the same answer : devil fruit ! Also we saw nami being biten by the bug on little garden a few episode back !
