Synopsis of Overlord: In the year 2138, virtual reality gaming is booming. Yggdrasil, a popular online game is quietly shut down one day. However, one player named Momonga decides to not log out. Momonga is then transformed into the image of a skeleton as "the most powerful wizard." The world continues to change, with non-player characters (NPCs) beginning to feel emotion. Having no parents, friends, or place in society, this ordinary young man Momonga then strives to take over the new world the game has become.

The pacing felt fast because in the manga was like that , but they also cut some dialogues and some parts , due to the enormity of this arc. All you saw since the start of the season until the ending of season 3 (maybe), is gonna be the arc of the monster assosiation. Anyway, dont worry about Garou , he will be the "main character" in the upcoming season and he may become into your favourite character. If animated properly , prepare yourself to see the war between monsters and heroes , many epic fights where S class are gonna show their true power and some really , REALLY strong monsters.

I agree with you completely. Season 2 story wise beats season 1. Animation wise yes super spoiled in season 1. Season 2 is above average and watchable specially eps 8, 11 and 12 have really good animation. I really don't mind having a third season with JC staff.

Imagine One Punch Man was your heroine, and that when it run out you would have no other choice to run over to Overlord... made by the same company that made first season of One Punch Man. You maybe though not another short series would do, but Overlord was my saviour when One Punch Man wasn't airing anymore . It has 3 seasons and a 4th to come in winter. It's a fully worthy reaction series, and fast pacing, but steady. It is so many misunderstandings and everything between. And please please, it's not a regular anime. Its something that made One Punch Mans budget big. They have continiued this path with threee seasons of Overlord. Overlord is a Unique show. we wher blessed in 2015 or 16 with both one punch and overlord.
