Shop & piracy

Hi everyone,

Roughly a month ago I launched a test by making a few models available in patreon's shop feature.

_Piracy

I discovered yesterday, right after adding some more models, that the shop is actually subject to piracy, just like usual patreon posts. This problem was the reason behind using google drive in the first place.

As a result, I'm sad to say the shop in its current form is discontinued and all shop items have been unpublished.

For any past buyer : rest assured, you will still be able to access your file.

_A solution

I believe however that I have found a solution which is replacing the model in the shop with a "model pass". So you buy one, then DM me and I provide you with the link.

It's similar to current tier 5-7 system but the entry ticket will be lower.

Now there are two ways to go about it, either I have a generic pass that allows to access any model, or I have a singular pass for a specific model.

The first one means all models will have a similar price point, so 5€, but it will be quick to provide and all models will be available. That would be my preferred system.

The second one allows to have different price points, but requires me to create more than a 100 passes, which I probably won't do (or not quickly anyway) so some models won't be accessible anymore.

Honestly that situation sucks for everyone as the shop was kind of an ideal system. You can thank Mr pirate for the early christmas gift.

Anyway, let me know in the comments which system you'd prefer or if you have other ideas.
