How much does gus know of a module/story twist going in? Does the DM get surprised how the story ends up? Or is he just a good actor? (surprises from the Module side - I know the players can definitely throw a spanner in the works) I asked because in Pyous Pass Gus says something that contradicted how things turned out but apparently he had the whole module.

Im a new dm and I'm having trouble picking what magical items my party should have access to from a level standpoint while also having stuff that I know my party will have fun messing around with. Advice would be appreciated, thanks!

2025-03-28 23:33:56 +0000 UTCIm not good at doing voices so i give my NPC's a personality like for instance maybe one of my shopkeepers is a little sassy or maybe the jail keeper is a little angry that day stuff like that and that seems to work and keep my party engaged
