Gus Cut - Foley Artist
Added 2025-02-16 17:59:00 +0000 UTCWelcome to yet another behind the scenes peek at something I worked on that didn't quite see the light of day. A few months ago Chris was super busy and asked if someone could take a sound effects pass on a YouTube short. I'd never done this before, but I volunteered to give it a shot. He sent me a link to a collection of sound effects and the video file. The video just had the player audio, and no sound effects at all. I spent a couple of hours combing through the sound effects library, cut together this video draft, and sent it back to Chris. He had to redo some of the effects, but he did end up using some of them in the final version. I thought it was a good exercise for me to learn about the sound effects process and I'm amazed at the amount of work that goes into producing these animations. My favorite sound effect in this video, which I knew Chris would replace, was the sound of Gum Gum peeing in the end.
