The thing with Vera is I disliked his storyline (and him) in Season 1. So I'm probably still attached to the feeling. Something about him feels very "network tv" if you know what I mean? I'll try to keep an open mind going into the next episode... but compared to other villains like Craig Robinson and Bobby Cannavale, this actor doesn't hold a candle to them imo. Re Olivia's mom - ahhh could be!!

Felt like she should have been working on more of a plan to break herself free from the control (even if the plan was ineffectual). And yes, Darlene should have at least raised the gun (even if ineffectually). I don't think that Vera was brought in just to tie up a loose thread. There was a plan to do something in Season 4, and instead of introducing a new baddie, it worked to bring Vera back to be a part of what they wanted to do. Hoping you'll appreciate it when it comes to fruition. The Olivia sub-plot was intense. Did not expect to revisit that character and in such a way. When Elliot said that he knew that her mother died in the atrocity that he attributed to the Deus group, it left me wondering if he really knew that they were behind it, or it was just one more way he was trying to manipulate her.
