Courtney stuck her leg out from under the couch and tripped the killer.

Not seen this before so maybe it never was on Australian tv in the 1980's but it is like so many other teenage horror movies of the late 70's and early 80's. Very dated now but I still sat through the whole thing so it was entertaining enough, I guess. The little sister, Courtney really sucked for being hidden under the couch and did absolutely nothing to help the poor young gym coach that would eventually become another victim. Seems a bit odd a high school staff member visiting a students house out of school hours but I guess this was meant to be smallish town this high school was in.

I have to make a correction. The movie Valerie is watching is Hollywood Boulevard (1976). AI told me it was The House That Screamed (1969), so I watched it on YouTube, but it didn't show the same scenes. On the bright side, it's a decent movie, probably inspired Suspiria. I asked AI again and it gave me a different answer, π€¦ββοΈbut this time I see it's the right one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZzGdhfFo9H4

The music reminds me of Tom Hanks' comedy-horror The Burbs. Particularly the first two chords
