Do you think they're treating it as an homage? I thought the use of the song was super interesting too. Had I never seen Fight Club, I wouldn't have figured out as much as I did ๐ฏ

The plot is the same, the reveals are the same, and even when heโs realizing the truth about his father they play a cover of The Pixies song Where Is My Mindโฆ Sam Esmail has done this a few times where his work is just another famous thing remixed with a new aesthetic. And lots of times itโs even referencing the thing itโs copying.
