Three Days of the Condor UNCUT - Patreon Request

LOVED this movie!

I watched on Amazon Prime if you're looking for a copy to watch along. If you haven't seen it and enjoy a good espionage thriller, I highly recommend this one!

That makes sense! These types of movies make for great rewatches because I always miss a few things the first time around :)

Oh 100%! As soon as I'm done a film, I *immediately* regret how heated I got in the moment 😅 it was the attitude back then but watching it now, it felt like a lack of finesse in writing. I think it stood out so much more in this film because the movie is so serious and the writing is so great. If I saw it in a cheesy 90s action film, I'd probably laugh it off, but here it just took me out of the moment.

I think the thinking in the 60's and 70's films was that being in danger lowered inhibitions. A prime example would be the Bond films. I can think of some not too different examples even in recent movies. In the 30's and 40's stalking was an important element in the courtship ritual. I try to take heart in seeing elements like these recognized as being problematic.

To answer a couple questions... Max von Sydow's character grabbed the license plate number of Faye Dunaway's car to track him back to her house. When the CIA were going over whether Condor had handgun training, they mentioned that he worked in communications/telecom, and he used that to get the number and then address of the guy in the big house that he was interrogating near the end.
