Ok, now that youv'e seen this, there are two more essential Faye Dunaway movies to see: "Bonnie And Clyde"! She's Bonnie!!!!! Faye is Bonnie! NO ONE has done "Bonnie And Clyde" yet!!! Please, right this wrong!!! Also....."Barfly", 1988 with Mickey Rourke. Wild and fantastic performances. Script by Charles Bukowski. One of the great movies of the 80s. But definitely don't miss "Bonnie And Clyde"! There's a brand new documentary about Faye actually....(called...."Faye"!) Ha! But don't watch it until you've seen "Bonnie And Clyde".

Fantastic commentary, although I also loved that there were long sections where you were just entranced by the acting/script! You are 100% on the money: this movie was seen as total satire when it came out......now it seems so prescient! The part where the Communists are arguing residuals and percentages is hilarious. The acting is so incredible in this. Totally agree: every actor gets long monologues! That made me laugh: you imagine the actors practicing their parts! I was actually doing that with Robert Duvall as I just recently saw a clip that explored his acting technique! Ha! To be honest, I feel like they could have trimmed a bit of the Faye/William Holden romance monologues, especially his. On the other hand, maybe not! I love EVERYTHING you said about the whole affair. I never liked that section so much, mostly because I've never liked William Holden! I never saw what she sees in him! Do you? I was always like "eeeew"! Ha! That said: the wife's monologue is incredible. All the monologues are deliciously written. I could talk about this movie all day!!!
