Next AUS/NZ Watch?
Added 2024-05-31 00:08:12 +0000 UTCThese are the top movies I've seen pop up in the comments, so I need some help deciding what to watch this weekend! *disclaimer Romper Stomper is highly recommended but will be part of a different poll. Bad Boy Bubby is not happening 😂 the trailer alone traumatised me lol

I'll look into that!

2024-07-07 10:25:56 +0000 UTCYou need to do Crocodile Dunndee 1 and 2 right away. They are iconic movies and put Australia on the world map. They are action adventure comedies. The first movie became a world wide smash in the 80s and has some of the best oneliners in cinima history. Just realy fun movies much bigger and better than The Castle and Chopper IMO which where small budget in comparison. Paul Hogan is an Australian icon. Mostly due to these movies. Pracilla is also another iconic Aussie movie. Whale Rider and Hunt for Wilder People are realy good NZ movies. Not as good as Once Where Worriors but still worth a watch. Gallipoli and Mad Max is where Mel Gibson got his start in Australia. Both worth a watch. Mad Max 2 is my favourite of the series to date. Cracjerjack, The Big Steal and Malcom are also great smaller budget Aussie movies. I love Crackerjack so much. So Aussie.

2024-05-31 09:42:25 +0000 UTCyou should add mary and max to the polls, no one ever reacts to it, I think cause it deals with some dark themes

2024-05-31 08:01:36 +0000 UTCGotta go Priscilla, such a fun flick, I'm a fan of Hunt for the Wilderpeople too, but Priscilla wins out on this one. Looking forward to Romper Stomper, would also love to see Animal Kingdom, Murials Wedding and The Man from Snowy River or Pharlap. If Bad Boy Bubby is too much, maybe check out Wolf Creek lol keep in mind the the actor John Jarratt was a beloved character on our kids show Play School for years and we all grew up watching him smile and play with dolls while doing arts and crafts, so it was a big shock to the system seeing him in that role.
Marie Antoinette
2024-05-31 07:56:49 +0000 UTCMad Max is one of my favorites so I have to vote for that but what we do in the shadows & Priscilla Queen of the desert are both great fun too😀👍
