So strange it's not accepting comments... that's not good!

Awww how nice to have film that connects you with your mom! Love that. So happy you got to experience a brief moment that brought you closer to her memory 🤍 And don't feel bad about not crying during the movie... I cry at commercials so I'm not the best barometer when it comes to sad or shocking scenes haha I didn't want to say anything yesterday but I kinda felt bad you were excited for Ciaran Hinds given his brief appearance 😬😅

My comment that seemingly won't take on your "In Bruges" reaction. I wrote: "That's for John Lennon!" Ha! (and then they turn out to be Canadian! 🤣)/ Chrissie, when you burst out weeping, my heart broke, oh my gosh... I didn't actually weep when I first saw that scene, but seeing it through your eyes....so emotional. Guilty, even! Now I feel like a hard-hearted bastard! I'll bet I cry every time I see that scene from now on! 😄 So funny you put in the Living In Oblivion clip, because right before you did, I was flashing on that scene in my head! And I couldn't place which movie it was from! Ha! I once saw Peter Dinklage on Madison Avenue in Manhattan. What he was doing there, I know not, but he was on his way somewhere, and his face was all business! :D Loved the actors, Ralph Fiennes was such a great surprise! I was saying the same thing you were: most considerate hit men ever! You don't get that in America! :P I wonder if calling him Harry is an homage to Harry Lime from The Third Man, I wouldn't be surprised, there are some similar elements to both films. I loved the end, him surreally stumbling on to the film set. HOWEVER: two things took me out of the movie momentarily.....and you had the same reaction! The first was: he survived the impact from the fall? What? lol. And the second was: lay down flat! Again: you might need to be a North American hit man (or citizen) to not make such a rookie move, hard to say. Might just be this movie! (I saw a real fun French film from the 60s recently.....but it was trying to be a Hollywood swashbuckler movie. And the stunt men are just terrible! You blow on them, and they fall down.....gently, making sure not to hurt themselves, lol. Hey, have you ever seen Terence Malick's "The New World"? It's an incredible movie, the story of Pocohantas and John Smith, Colin Farrell plays John Smith, so good (Christian Bale is also in that). Came out around the same time as "In Bruges". The actress that played Pocohantas, Q'orianka Kilcher, is incredible. One of my favorites of this 21st century - not a very long list, I must admit! 🤣 But for watching off the channel, or on your Patreon, not for posting here. A really one-of-a-kind, totally authentic and visceral experience! Gorgeous, fascinating movie. And lastly: another great British crime movie with some brilliant comedy overtones from the 80s, "Mona Lisa" with Bob Hoskins and Michael Caine. That reminded me of this. Only in general tone, the stories are completely different, but "Mona Lisa", that's a great movie from the 80s. Very short, if I remember correctly! In conclusion: thanks so much, you have no idea how recommending this film....and then asking me if I had seen it.......it brought closure to something a little bittersweet: this was the last movie my mom ever recommended to me, my whole life she had hipped me to great movie after great movie (like Paper Moon, actually!).....and I just never got around to In Bruges. She burned me a copy on DVD and would ask me about it, and I never watched it. And I've always been riddled with guilt about it! It's kept me from seeing the movie! So....I definitely looked to the sky and had to salute her. In her later years, I'd become such a movie snob and I could be rude or dismissive about some commercial Hollywood movie she liked, and I'm just saying now, in public, she gets the last laugh! Right again! 🤣 And then you get the last last laugh! Thanks for the movie recommendation! Will be watching it again.....and that's the highest compliment we can give to a movie, right?🤩 Thanks Chrissie! Sorry for the gargantuan comment!

Hey! Congrats on starting your Patreon!! I am going to leave this comment here.......and then I'll delete it once you've read it! For some reason, you tube is not letting me post this comment! It keeps deleting it! But I watched In Bruges! Then I watched your reaction! Here's the gigantic comment I left, written during and after your video. No obligation to read it! But here's what I wrote:
