I Need Your Help!

Hello, readers! I have a problem.

Backstory to the problem: I had 53 chapters of backlog when I launched MGU on RR and Patreon. I've managed to write through chapter 65 (66 today), but I'm going to need to start cutting down on my posting to keep ahead. I can pretty consistently write 8k to 10k words of this story a week, which right now adds up to 4 or 5 chapters.

So, would you prefer four-to-five-thousand-word posts (about 2 current chapters each) on Monday/Thursday? Or would you prefer two-thousand-word posts (1 current chapter each) on Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday? I'm comfortable with doing either one, so it's really up to reader preference.

Either way, my current plan is to at the very least maintain my 8/20 chapter buffer ahead of Royal Road and, ideally, to gradually build both of those buffers up. I also will be staying daily until next Friday.

Please vote so I know what you'd prefer, or comment if there's another realistic posting schedule you think would be better!

My current plan is to do 3 or 4/week 2k chapters on Royal Road, depending on what's sustainable. I'm mostly wondering how you'd prefer to consume chapters - if it'd be better to have larger, less frequent chunks or smaller, more frequent chunks.

yep, I also think that more frequent but smaller is better if the chapters are not too small. and 2k is pretty good. however data and own health are important considerations.

I've personally found that more frequent posts on RR lead to larger reader bases, even with smaller chapters. Rather than asking patreons, I'd suggest reaching out to fellow authors and seeing what is healthier for you as a writer and for your viewership.
