Progress update #6

A month has passed since the last progress update, so I thought I should share with you how the new update is, well, progressing.

Story:

Most of the story (for this update) is already planned out at this point. In this update you will choose a character whose path you wish to follow, sort of setting up the continuation of the game. You won't be indefinitely locked to this path in the future, but it will be impactful in the sense that you will loose out a more crucial part of the others story and problems. The many choices made previously in the game has been accounted for and I've decided how they should affect the story too.

Oh, and there's a few new faces in this update too.

I've written around 20% of the dialogue and script so far, mostly because I've focused a bit more of the CG's at this stage. I remembered how much I went back and forth between the script and the images earlier, so I thought I'd try making one thing closer to finished before doing the other, to see if that's more effective. We'll see!

Art:

As I mentioned I have focused a lot of my time to making the CG's for now. Currently I have made 132 CG's, not including the sprites (I usually make them as I write the dialogue since that way I can see which emotion I might need).

I've been rather happy with the results of them too, so I hope you will be too.

Next step:

The next step now will focus much more on the script. I want to put all the CG's I've made into the game and see how it works, along with getting the dialogue and choices down. This will give me an estimate of how many more images I might still need.

I know I need a lot more CG's than I currently have, mostly because I have made the CG's in a singluar path for each character, and not taken into account how the choices will change them.
