Added 2023-08-05 13:12:38 +0000 UTCThe plan had gone off without a hitch. The small squad had infiltrated the enemy structure and begun to clear it with an almost eager efficiency. The stark shrieks of eliminated hostiles punctuated the tactical calmness of the Trooper's slow clearing of the building.
It was too easy though, and while they had been trained to think, to kill, and to die, they had rarely been challenged to question.
So when they moved around the corner only to find the enemy waiting to pincer them they fell back on the only training that served that situation well... to die unquestioningly for the mission.
