Kenna had never given me advice or talked about her love life, up until now. “You’ll find someone who cares about you eventually, Kenna. You just have to be patient” I said, as Kenna began adding the final touches to my face, “The one who should be worried about relationships should be me. I don’t even know what I like and stuff”. “You’ll be fine. You may struggle a bit here and there, but don’t expect to be lonely. You have the looks that most girls would kill to have. I haven’t said this before, but I’m pretty proud to say that you’re my sister. I can’t wait to show you off in public with me” Kenna said, handing me a small mirror, “Now then, how do you like it?” “Woah! Is that really me?”, I said, shocked at my reflection, “I look so different. You weren’t kidding when you said makeup can change everything about you.” “OK. Now it’s time to do your hair. I think we’ll just go with a simple ponytail”, Kenna said, messing with my hair, “Your hair is a lot longer than I thought. It looks really healthy too.” I watched Kenna style my hair in the mirror, and I began to feel proud of who I was becoming. I was no longer an unhappy boy named Jeff. I was now a beautiful girl named Julie. At first, I thought that the transformation I went through would mean that my life would be over, but I was wrong. Watching Kenna help me out gave me a lot of hope, and it inspired me to be a better person. “I know we’re still not done yet and all, but I just want to say thank you for helping me out”, I said as Kenna finished styling my hair. “Awww. Let’s not get sentimental yet. We still have a party to go to, Julie. Remember?”, Kenna said as we both left the bathroom. I stood in the middle of the room, feeling pretty good about myself, and I realized something. “Kenna, how long do you think it’ll take you to get ready?”, I said, watching her start to pick out an outfit. “Don’t you worry your pretty little face, sis. I’m a professional at getting ready. I’ve never been late in my entire life”, Kenna said, undressing in front of me. I quickly turned away but realized something. I didn’t feel as weird as I thought I would. I’m not saying that you should watch your sister undress in front of you with a smile, but it’s nothing to be embarrassed about. I was slowly becoming more comfortable myself, which is why I decided to say something. “Wow! Have you been working out, Kenna? Those calves look like they could cut diamonds,” I said, giggling, “What’s the secret?” “Ha! You’re so funny. I have been working out lately. I really ought to take you with me to the gym sometime. I’m sure you’d like it”, Kenna said while she put on a pair of heels. “The only thing bad thing about going out with me is that a bunch of guys will probably bother us, but aside from that, I’m a fun person to be around.”
I sat in bed and watched Kenna go from a pretty girl go to an absolute hottie. “She really knows what she’s doing. I wish I could do all that stuff. Then again, she has been a girl her entire life” I thought to myself while looking down at my girly body, “I think I’ve accepted who I am now. A regular boy wouldn’t be doing all these things and enjoying them, but I am. I have my entire life ahead of me, and I can’t wait to go out as a girl with my sister.” After Kenna came out of the bathroom, she looked at me and said, “So, are you ready to pick out what purse you want?” “I have my wallet in my room. I can go and get it if you want” I said, getting up quickly. “I didn’t say anything about a wallet, dear. I asked you what purse you want to take with you to the party. Just make sure it matches your outfit” Kenna said, opening up a drawer with lots of purses inside. I’ve never seen so many in my entire life. I looked around and made sure to pick the smallest one. It not only matched my outfit, but it also looked like it could fit a ton of stuff inside. Kenna picked up a purse and asked me to get the car ready. After stepping outside and starting up the car, I saw Kenna close the house door behind her. She looked stunning. “Let’s get going, Julie. Are ya ready to have fun for the first time as a girl?” Kenna said, adjusting the AC in the car, “There’s also some more stuff I have to teach you before we arrive.” “Yea, I was about to ask you some stuff. Like, what am I supposed to do when I’m there. I don’t even know anyone. Do I just stay by your side the entire time?”, I said nervously. “Since this is your first party, you can just stay by me and do your best to interact with people. If you ever go anywhere just let me know beforehand. If you do get along with a boy, make sure to keep the interaction casual. Don’t mention anything about being a guy in the past. Also, don’t let your emotions get the best of you”, Kenna said, stopping at a red light. “That sounds simple enough. I think I can do this. It’s been so long since I’ve last been to a party. There’s no way I can screw this up. I’ll make you proud. Just watch” I said confidently. “Just try to have fun. It’s all about staying relaxed. We’re here to let go and forget about the stresses of life” Kenna said, taking a glance at me, “Once you get the hang of things, then you won’t even need my advice.” Normally, when I want to parties in the past, I was very anxious and would struggle to talk to people. It seemed as if I was becoming more social by the second. I didn’t plan on drinking all that much because the last thing I wanted to do was disappoint Kenna. “I’m probably going to get really drunk, so you may be the one driving me home. Make sure not to get wasted like I am”, Kenna said, giggling, “I haven’t drank alcohol in so long. I deserve this more than anyone.” “OK. You’re pretty much the one in charge here, sis” I said, giggling with her. Ten minutes later, we parked near this big house in a nice neighborhood. “Wow! This place is huge. There’s definitely going to be a lot of people here” I said as we both got out of the car. This is it. My first party as a girl. My sister and I walked towards the house, ready to have some fun...
