Selection of Assault Units.

The length of time from selection to deployment is the difference. Its close to 1 year.
Meeting a standard fitness test and basic psychometric tests gets them in. Then they are all put through the basic training component of 12 weeks.
Following this segment all units have been brought up to speed with Fitness and basic combat ability.
Following this is an 8 week drop out selection course. Designed to uplift the capability while assigning units into categories as time progresses.
A large number are finished in the first 2 weeks. Those are the Sentry type units who are then put into Sentry training.
The following lot of Drop outs are assault units. Who drop out between 2 to 4 weeks.
4 to 6 weeks become Drop Troopers.
6 to 8 Weeks become Elites.
The very very very few who complete the 8 weeks are sent to the Gladiatrix program.
No one is allowed to fail basic. No one.
they are kept and drilled, and drilled and trained until they meet the standard of a Sentry
All candidates are told what being a sentry means too.
Sentries almost never finish contracts. Sentries are thrown into Skirms. Sentries are used to as fodder.
Sentries are sacrificial
This motivates the candidates to try harder and become Assault Units.
Thats why Tanaka has so many.
