Pirates are not like Marauders. Pirates target any vessel moving in or out of the Outer Region by Sea. The other side of the Islands waters are controlled by the major factions and their boats are too heavily armed to attack.

Pirates tend to attack smaller vessels that are usually independents bringing in supplies or moving valuables out. Valuables such as Suite or even Neon Dark.

Attacking a boat carrying Neon Dark sounds like a good idea however those in possession will fight with everything they have to not lose it. They often hire escorts too.

Some insane water born skirms have gone down with pirates giving chase in fast boats and on jet skis.

As wild and free spirited as it sounds, being a pirate is not easy. They are technically micro factions like any other who recruit and pay their units.

Uniforms, weapons, equipment and vessels are all purchased new and it seems like they are well funded.

Strange that, isn't it? Making it hard to get Neon Dark out of a region which is not faction controlled.

I wonder why they would want it hard for Neon Dark or anything to get into that area?

Why the price would go down and make it cheaper if there was more on the market.

Oh..

So occasionally Pirates come ashore in the Outer for a bit of fun and or extra cash.
